Winsley, Holt, Bradford-on-Avon and South Wraxall

Join the conversation about future renewable energy schemes that could be owned by and benefit your local community. We're interested in what you think about a community-owned wind turbine or solar farm in the Bradford-on-Avon area. This includes finding out:

  • If you'd support renewable energy in the area.

  • Where a wind turbine or solar farm could be located.

  • How your community could benefit from a possible renewable energy scheme.

This page tells you more about what's been happening in your local area, and which live opportunities you can get involved in.

The Centre for Sustainable Energy is working in partnership with Climate Friendly Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire Council, and Bath and West Community Energy. This work is funded by the Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme. You can find out more about the work here and check our FAQs.

What’s happened so far

November 2025

We held a workshop at Corsham Town Hall to start a conversation about community energy in the area and explore possibilities for community benefit, and possible areas for a renewable energy project. The workshop was attended by 23 people from the area.

Click here to read the report summarising the workshop discussions.

The workshop report was published and an online survey launched to find out what other people in the area think about the workshop findings, and community energy generally.

March 2026

We went to Hartley Farm to talk more with local people about community-owned renewables and how they can get involved in this project.
